Documents and ResourcesBusiness-to-Business FraudJuly 22, 2009 - The Vermont Attorney General’s Office has the legal authority to enforce the Vermont Consumer Fraud Act regardless of whether the victims of unfair or deceptive commercial conduct are consumers or businesses. In recent years, court cases have been filed where systematic deception and abusive practices have been directed at small businesses, and significant sanctions, in the form of mandated refunds and civil penalties, have been imposed. Vermont businesses that believe they have been the target of such unlawful practices may file a complaint with the Consumer Assistance Program. Contact Information
