Attorney General William H. Sorrell Announces Public Meeting on Certification of Law Enforcement Officers

On October 7, 2010, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m., the Attorney General's Office will host a public meeting on the issue of Certification of Law Enforcement Officers in Vermont.

As required by H.578 the Attorney General's Office will chair a committee to review the issues regarding the connection between physical fitness standards and full and part-time certification of Vermont law enforcement officers.

The committee would like input and testimony from state and local law enforcement, and invites you to attend this community meeting and provide input on this important issue. The meeting will be held at the Attorney General's Office, 109 State Street (Third Floor), Montpelier, Vermont.
