Brooklyn New York Man Arrested For Trafficking Heroin In Vermont

Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that Maleek S. Drummond, of Brooklyn New York, was arraigned today in the Vermont Superior Court Rutland Criminal Division on charges of Heroin Trafficking and Possession of Marijuana. According to affidavits filed with the Court, the Vermont Drug Task Force arrested Drummond on June 14, 2012 in Addison County after discovering him in possession of 165 bags, or approximately 5.26 grams, of heroin and approximately 4 grams of marijuana. As a result of these two charges, Drummond faces up to 30 and half years in prison and a fine of up to $1,000,500.00.

The court imposed a $100,000.00 secured appearance bond to ensure Drummond’s future appearance in court and numerous other conditions of release.
