Burlington Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that Chris Duval, of Burlington, Vermont, has been charged with one felony count of Possession of Child Pornography. The charge carries a possible prison term of up to five years.

The charges resulted from a shared investigation between the South Burlington and Burlington Police Departments and Vermont’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The affidavit filed with the court alleges that Mr. Duval obtained child pornography over the internet using peer-to-peer file sharing programs.

Following his arraignment in Chittenden Superior Court, Criminal Division, Mr. Duval was released on conditions including conditions restricting his contact with minors and access to devices capable of connecting to the internet.
