Essex Junction Man Arrested For Possession Of Child Pornography

Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that Michael Beaudoin, of Essex Jct., Vermont, has been charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Mr. Beaudoin is already on the sex offender registry and currently on probation as a result of a conviction for Sexual Assault on a Minor. He was also charged with violating the terms of his probation.

The arrest resulted from a shared investigation between the Vermont Attorney General’s Office and Vermont’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. According to documents filed with the Court, Mr. Beaudoin allegedly obtained and distributed child pornography over the internet using peer-to-peer file sharing programs. Mr. Beaudoin pleaded not guilty to the charges and was held without bail on the violation of probation and on $25,000 bail for the possession of child pornography charges.
