Former State Police Officer Cited For Assault

Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that a citation has been issued for Eric J. Howley, of Wilmington, Vermont, for two counts of Simple Assault. Mr. Howley was formerly a Trooper with the Vermont State Police, stationed in Brattleboro. Mr. Howley’s arraignment on the charges is expected to take place on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 8:00 a.m., at the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, in Brattleboro, Vermont. Further details related to the charges will be available after the arraignment.
