Press ReleasesGrand Isle Man Charged With Possession Of Child PornographyCONTACT: Cindy Maguire, Assistant Attorney General, (802) 828-5512 February 1, 2012 Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that Kyle Sausville, of Grand Isle, Vermont, has been charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography. The felony count carries a possible prison term of up to five years, and the misdemeanor count carries a possible prison term of two years. The charges resulted from a shared investigation between the South Burlington Police Department and Vermont’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The affidavit filed with the court alleges that the images were discovered on a computer storage device in Mr. Sausville’s home pursuant to a search warrant, issued after information was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Mr. Sausville had uploaded images of child pornography to his Facebook page. Following arraignment, Mr. Sausville was released on conditions, including that he not have contact with minors. |
