Guilford Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that Justin Bywater, of Guilford, Vermont, has been charged with five counts of felony level Possession of Child Pornography.

The Vermont Attorney General’s Office arrested Bywater on Friday October 18, 2013 after a shared investigation between the Attorney General’s Office and Vermont’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force revealed that Bywater obtained and distributed child pornography over the internet using peer-to-peer file sharing programs.

Bywater was arraigned today in Windham Superior Criminal Court and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was then released on conditions including conditions that limited his access to children and the internet.
