South Burlington Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that David Lang, of South Burlington, Vermont, has been charged with three felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Each charge carries a possible prison term of up to five years.

The charges resulted from a shared investigation between the Burlington and South Burlington Police Departments, and Vermont’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC). The affidavit filed with the court alleges that Mr. Lang obtained child pornography over the internet using peer-to-peer file sharing programs.

Lang was arraigned in Chittenden Superior Court, Criminal Division, on June 28, 2011. Following arraignment, Mr. Lang was released on conditions, including that he have no contact with minors.
