Two Burlington Men Arrested For Possession Of Child Pornography

The Vermont Attorney General’s Office announced today that Kevin Gallagher and David Faulkner of Burlington, Vermont, have been arrested for felony level Possession of Child Pornography. The arrests resulted from a shared investigation between the Vermont Attorney General’s Office and Vermont’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. This investigation revealed that Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Faulkner obtained child pornography over the internet using peer-to-peer file sharing programs. Computers connect to peer-to-peer networks via publicly available software that permits them to trade pictures and movies, including those containing child pornography, with other computers all around the world.

Mr. Gallagher was arraigned on February 5, 2013. At his arraignment, Mr. Gallagher pled not guilty to four charges and was released on conditions, including conditions restricting his contact with children and his ability to access the internet.

Mr. Faulkner was arraigned on February 12, 2013. At his arraignment, Mr. Faulkner pled not guilty to four charges and was released on conditions, including conditions restricting his contact with children and his ability to access the internet.
