Vermont Attorney General Posts Dean Foods Settlement Documents To Website

Documents relating to the Dean Foods Settlement have been posted to the Attorney General’s website, Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today. These documents were originally filed under seal or were heavily redacted, making it difficult for the Attorney General’s office or the public to assess the merits of the Allen v. Dairy Farmers of America, et al. litigation, or the settlement with Dean Foods Company. The availability of the documents is the result of weeks of negotiating with the parties, and the Attorney General’s filing an amicus curiae brief with the U.S. Court for the District of Vermont on the subject of unsealing the documents.
