Press ReleasesVermont State Trooper Charged With DUICONTACT: Ultan Doyle, Assistant Attorney General, (802) 828-5512 October 25, 2010 Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced today that Joshua P. Lemieux, age 39, of West Rutland, Vermont was arraigned on October 25, 2010, in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Rutland Unit, on one misdemeanor count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. According to papers filed in court, Mr. Lemieux is accused of operating a motor vehicle on October 7, 2010 in Rutland, Vermont, while he was under the influence of alcohol. Mr. Lemieux is a Vermont State Trooper, however he was not on duty at the time of the incident. Mr. Lemieux’s attorney entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf. If convicted, Mr. Lemieux faces up to two years in prison or a fine of up to $750.00 or both. The court imposed standard conditions of release that govern Mr. Lemieux’s conduct while his case is pending. |
