Press ReleasesWaterbury Vermont Man Charged With Unlawful Possession of Regulated NarcoticsCONTACT: Evan Meenan, Assistant Attorney General, (802) 828-5512 July 30, 2012 Vermont Attorney General William H. Sorrell announced that Joseph C. Clark, of Waterbury, Vermont, was arraigned today, at the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, in St. Albans, Vermont, on three charges of unlawfully possessing regulated narcotics. According to documents filed with the Court, an investigation conducted by the Vermont State Police revealed that Mr. Clark stole 280 pills of Oxycodone while working as an IT Technician employed by Price Chopper and performing his duties at the Price Chopper Pharmacy in St. Albans. Mr. Clark is no longer employed at Price Chopper. All three charges are misdemeanors and carry a maximum potential penalty of not more than 1 year imprisonment, a fine of not more than $2,000, or both. At arraignment, Mr. Clark pled not guilty to all counts and was released on conditions, including conditions that restrict his access to regulated drugs without a prescription. |
