A Burlington woman, Heather Forcier, pled guilty yesterday in Washington Superior Court, to two felony counts of Attempted False Pretenses. According to court documents, Ms. Forcier falsified a W-2 form, and submitted a fraudulent Vermont Income Tax Return, in an attempt to obtain tax refunds for the years 2009 and 2010 totaling almost $27,000.00. The Vermont Department of Taxes detected the fraud and Ms. Forcier did not receive any funds.

Ms. Forcier was sentenced to 60 days to one year on each count, concurrent, to be suspended with terms of probation to include substance abuse screening and counseling, and completion of the Reparative Board process.
