Assistant Attorney General

The Office of the Attorney General, General Counsel and Administrative Law Division (GCAL), has an immediate opening for an assistant attorney general position to represent the State of Vermont in a variety of employment and human rights cases. This will be a limited service position for a 6-month period. The position will be located at the Attorney General’s Office in Montpelier, Vermont.

Candidates must be a member in good standing of the Vermont bar with at least 3-5 years of relevant legal experience and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge and experience in employment and human rights law is preferred.

This assistant attorney general position is an exempt position. Salary and benefits will be based upon qualifications and experience in accordance with the Attorney Pay Plan.
