Criminal Division
The Criminal Division of the Attorney General’s Office is a statewide prosecutorial agency that consists of several specialized units:
- Appellate Unit
- Medicaid Fraud and Residential Abuse Unit
- Trial and Investigative Unit
- Victim Services
The Criminal Division’s focus is on the protection of the citizens of Vermont. Each Unit of the Division works zealously to enhance justice within the State and promote the general welfare of the citizens of Vermont. This work occurs both co-operatively with other law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies and other stakeholders in the criminal justice system and also through direct advocacy by or on behalf of the office.
