Human Services Division
The Human Services Division of the Vermont Attorney General's Office provides legal services to the Agency of Human Services and its departments and offices including the Department for Children and Families, Divisions of Economic Services, Family Services, and Child Development; the Department of Corrections; the Department of Health, Department of Mental Health; and the Department of Vermont Health Access. The attorneys act as general counsel to these entities and represent them in civil and administrative litigation. The attorneys in the Human Services Division also assist the Agency and its departments, divisions, and offices in the legislative and rulemaking processes.
