DCF, Economic Services

Four attorneys and one administrative assistant provide legal representation to the Department for Children and Families (DCF), Economic Services Division. This legal group represents DCF at administrative hearings and in other forums in matters regarding Vermont's Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), the Reach Up, Food Stamp, Fuel assistance and Lifeline programs. The group also handles questions about eligibility and other matters relating to Vermont's various health care assistance programs including Medicaid, Dr. Dynasaur, the Vermont Health Access Program (VHAP), and VHAP-Pharmacy and in addition offers general counsel assistance and helps in the review of policy and legislation.
